Question: How do I make the utility icons for updating my system?
Answer: Create "XREF UPD" and "XREF INFO" icons - Windows 95\98
Click <start>
Click <run>
Type <C:\XREF\CONT\SC>
Click <ok>
Click the upper right hand corner X to close black pop-up window
The computer created 2 new icons: X_info and X_update
Right Click once on "X_info" icon
Select <rename>
Set CAPS ON
Type <XREF INFO>
Right Click once on "X_update" icon
Select <rename>
CAPS should still be on
Type <XREF UPD>
Left Click once outside the region
Create "XREF UPD" and "XREF INFO" icons - Windows NT\2000
Click <start>
Click <run>
Type <C:\XREF\CONT\SCNTHVAC.BAT>
Click <ok>
Your computer screen will go black and then your desktop will reappear
Your computer created a new yellow folder called "X_util"
Double click <X_util> folder
Right Click once, hold and drag out the "X_info" icon onto your desktop
Let go and then left click once "Create shortcut here" from the pop-up menu
Right Click once, hold and drag out the "X_upd" icon onto your desktop
Let go and then left click once "Create shortcut here" from the pop-up menu
Click on the X in the upper right hand corner to close out the X_util window
Right Click once "X_info" icon
Select <rename>
SET CAPS ON
Type <XREF INFO>
Right Click once on "X_update" icon
Select <rename>
CAPS should still be on
Type <XREF UPD>
Right click on the "X_util" folder and select delete
Click "yes" when prompted
